Hello, we're Adam and Kebby. We first met in 2009 in a small village in southern Zambia. Kebby was a school teacher, and Adam was doing his doctoral fieldwork on water in rural areas.
Now, we're launching OffBeat to help rural communities host eco- and cultural tourism.
Our vision is to introduce adventure seekers and eco-tourists to the beauty of rural communities and their lands, while bringing income to support their prosperity.
We hope you enjoy these connections, and come back again to experience a new slice of the richness in indigenous people and their lands.
For many communities, preserving natural resources and biodiversity is a great idea, but also a pain point - it often requires foregone income from agricultural production, poaching, or other destructive land uses. Your visit brings much-needed income to help them invest in the preservation and long-term health of their communities and lands.
Happy travels,
Adam & Kebby
